Core Goods, located in Oil City, has been collaborating with two similar markets–the Meadville Market House and Edinboro Market–and the group was recently named a recipient of a $120,000 grant. 

Core Goods in Oil City is helping give another boost to the local economy together with the Edinboro Market and Meadville Market House

Locally-produced products from Erie, Crawford and Venango counties soon will be available on shelves in all three counties. About 100 local producers will have products at Edinboro Market in Edinboro, the Market House in Meadville, and Core Goods in Oil City.

Meadville Market House is part of a network of regional markets and farms that was awarded a $120,000 grant to improve collaborative distribution efforts. 

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director Bob Morgan announced today that the Department has partnered with Reinvestment Fund to invest $970,000 to improve access to healthy foods in underserved communities in Pennsylvania.
